This report compares academic assessment data for students using Passport Reading Journeys and traditional instruction programs. In cooperation with the Dallas Independent School District, Voyager pilot tested new computer and classroom instruction materials, the Passport Reading Journeys program, with one Reading Improvement teacher at W.T. A three-year analysis revealed that the current year saw significant higher growth for students using Passport Reading Journeys, particularly those for whom there is the most concern-Hispanic and African American, limited English proficient, and low SES. Passport Reading Journeys students had higher gains than the control students for each of the analyses.

This study investigated the program effects of TimeWarp Plus on the reading achievement of students in kindergarten through the eighth grade during the summers of 2007 and 2008. Study participants included 29,253 students in summer 2007 and 21,500 students in summer 2008. Students participating in TimeWarp Plus during the summer showed growth on both measures.
